Human minds want to see things objectively. We all want to hear either “Yes” or “No”. This is because we are pattern matching creatures by design. Our behaviour is mainly driven by this instinct. Across different parts of the world, the thought process differs. The western mind drives the thinking towards objectivity (yes or no) whereas eastern philosophy leans towards subjectiveness(yes, no and somewhere in the middle). Both have pros and cons.
Recently, I happened to watch “The Lion King” movie with my kids. Like every child, Simba(Lion Cub) has a natural curiosity to question things around the world. Mufasa(Simba’s Dad, The King) talks about the delicate balance that exists and should respect every creature in this world. He tells Simba to understand this diversity and appreciate it.
